Information for parents

Generally, at the age of 11 – 14 your child will be assessed to determine the level at which they study for GCSE, and their performance in these tests will offer an insight into the grade they are likely to achieve. With the range of subjects your child needs to study at school there is a lot for them to master, regardless of their age and ability. Couple this with the conflicting demands on school and teachers, and you may feel concerned that your child might not be achieving their best, particularly in certain subjects.

I tailor my lessons to the individual needs of the child, focus on particular areas of difficulty and afford them my undivided attention, allowing them to accelerate their learning. I delver the lessons with a calm, measured and friendly approach and they are carried out in a relaxed and distraction free atmosphere.

Your peace of mind is important, therefore the lessons are held in the comfort of your own home and I provide an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check for your inspection.

The free initial consultation is an opportunity for us to meet, discuss tuition and establish what assistance can be provided for your child. The meeting can last for up to an hour, during which we will discuss your child’s needs and your expectations, thus enabling planning of initial lessons.
